Gorgeous personalised Santa sack made from a vintage German pure linen mangle cloth dating back to the 1920’s-1940’s.

Mangle cloths were used to protect garments and sheets when being pressed/squeezed through a mangle. They were made to withstand a lot of wear and tear and get softer with each wash. These cloths really are gorgeous linens and, therefore, make these Santa sacks something that will last for years to come.

The personalised initial has been machine appliquéd and all the patches have been hand appliquéd with decorative stitching - these patches are purely for decoration and have not covered up any holes or tears. The back of the Santa sack has my “Ticketty Boo Handcrafted in Scotland” label and some more hand appliquéd patches. The ends of the jute drawstring has colour coordinating linen tabs.

The fabrics used for the appliqué are a mix of quality lines in ted ticking, red gingham and red dotty.

Please note that as this is an individual item the patches may vary slightly from that of the photo to compliment the fabric used for the initial.

You may choose the fabric for your initial - just pick from the options ie red ticking, red gingham or red dotty.

Size of Santa sack 68 cm wide and 74 cm long so a really good size for fitting lots of presents in from Santa!
